W.O.R.M. Enters Studio to Finish Destiny in a Decade

Monday, January 11, 2010

After an explosive performance at their pre album launch held at the Hyatt Regency Kota Kinabalu’s  Shenanigans in November 2009, W.O.R.M. is now focusing on completing their debut album Destiny in a Decade. The boys are recording in their own Visual Kei Studio and most of the works are produced by front-man and vocalist, Kay. The recording is expected to take 4 weeks and so far 40% has been completed. According to Kay, Destiny in a Decade will sound fresh with great arrangements and features tribal elements and Asian oriented sounds.

The album consists of 10 tracks; 3 English songs, 5 Malay and 2 Japanese songs. Kay added that apart from W.O.R.M. wanting to break into the Japanese market, these Japanese tracks are also produced for the love of Visual Kei music which originates from Japan and it’s also dedicated to all Visual Kei lovers around the world particularly in Sabah - "We’re getting back to our roots!".

A few that are planned out for W.O.R.M. in 2010 would be to perform at the VRock Festival (a Visual Rock Festival held annually in Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan) scheduled for October and November and most importantly the Grand Launching of Destiny in a Decade in June. Currently, 1Kinabalu management are in talks with the organizers for a confirmed slot at the VRock Festival.
